For some reason I like the idea of viewing paintings laterally, from left to right or right to left without too much up and down. In the past this preoccupation has resulted in paintings of lineages, historical events, or horror fiction, in paragraphs or long lines of text.

These works, made in the last few years, could loosely be described as events or landscapes, and without using explicit images or words, are meant to suggest a linear narrative .
